LexGaze offers several legal workshops and seminars focused on specialized fields of law. These workshops and seminars bring together students, faculty, and others to learn about emerging scholarship from leading thinkers, explore challenges in various fields of law, and engage in vibrant discussion. In over a period of little over 4 hours, the goal is to explain to you from the lens of a practicing lawyer- how the criminal law really works. Of course, there will be discussion of the theory as well, but our prime focus will be on the operation of the law. Our faculty will try and explain to you the many real-life situation one encounters when dealing in criminal law. Refer to the syllabus given in the brochure to get a glimpse of the topics we are going to cover in the workshop, so that you get an idea of what to expect from the sessions over the two days.

This workshop covers the purpose and format of a case comment, providing guidance on the specific angle you might choose for writing your case comment and taking you step by step through the various elements of a case comment including the introduction, explanation of the judicial decision, the discursive argument and the conclusion.
