ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
LexGaze presents to you a two-day Workshop on the practical aspects of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The current workshop by LexGaze is an endeavour to introduce you to the practical aspects of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In two days, over a period of a little over 4 hours, the goal is to explain to you from the lens of a practicing lawyer- how the criminal law really works.
Of course, there will be discussion of the theory as well, but our prime focus will be on the operation of the law. Our faculty will try and explain to you the many real-life situation one encounters when dealing in criminal law. Refer to the syllabus given in the brochure attached below to get a glimpse of the topics we are going to cover in the workshop, so that you get an idea of what to expect from the sessions over the two days.

ABOUT THE FACULTY- MS. SHRIYA MAINI
Ms. Shriya Maini is an award-winning lawyer practicing at the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court and District Courts/tribunals dispute resolution (civil, criminal and matrimonial) and has been accredited with numerous publications. A gold medallist from Gujarat National Law University, Ms. Maini post-graduated in laws from the University of Oxford, U.K., and is also a Visiting Professor for Women and Child Laws and International Crimes at National Law University, Delhi, NLU Nagpur and Lloyd Law College, Noida. She currently serves as an external member on the Internal Complaints Committee at Lloyd Law College, Noida. Prior to establishing her independent practice, Ms Maini worked as an Associate at Amarchand and Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff and Co. Ms. Maini also holds the distinguished feat of working as an Associate with the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals under Judge Theodor Meron at The Hague. With the rich and diverse experience that Ms. Maini comes with in International and domestic criminal laws, the present workshop is set to be an enriching experience for all participants.
